Having good mental health means having positive feelings about themselves, able to solve problems and pressures of everyday life, and can form and maintain good relationships with others.

So far, we have understood the importance of maintaining physical health. But maintaining mental health is equally important as physical health. In fact, poor mental health will lead to poor physical health as well.

Who could have affected his mental health?

Anyone can be subject to mental health. Something beyond expectations is sometimes a lot of people. At least, one of five people in a population affected his mental health. Or we might have.

If we hear the word disturbed mental health, we often rush to connect to certain mental conditions, such as: major depression or schizophrenia (? Lost his mind or crazy?). Yet mental health also includes conditions that we all can experience it, such as stress, anxiety, or feeling depressed.

When the stress turn into distress

Stress in a certain intensity and positive fact, make us grow. But if the excess will be bad effects on mental and physical health. This condition if you:

You can perform certain steps to overcome them. We tend to assume that mental health is something to do with the conditions in which we can not control themselves or bookmark personality weakness. Perception is not true. We can do something to fix these assumptions and protect our mental health.

  1. Remain active: regular exercise and maintain the cleanliness and appearance can help you have positive feelings.
  2. Involved in the group: participate in activities or clubs, meet a friend or companion tolan regularly in a fun and supportive atmosphere, where friends have told each other, take courses, or learning new things that you like.
  3. Accepting yourself: we are all unique and different from each other, and there is no perfect human being. All people have weaknesses as strengths. Accept and love yourself naturally.
  4. Relax: Instead, too many activities will make you feel depressed. Allow time to relax and rest. It is also important to be able to sleep well tonight, which will help relieve stress. Sleep well and regularly is penyegara mind. Not sure, do a hobby that can make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
  5. Avoiding alcohol and drugs: This fact will aggravate your condition.
  6. Eat healthily and regularly: This will help you feel better and give more energy.
  7. To approach God: You’ll feel that something will help yag strength and hope to get better and find rest.
  8. Recognize the symptoms of disturbed mental health: Having good mental health means being able to handle the pressure of everyday life. If you feel unable to cope, or even cope with alcohol and drugs (drugs), you may have a problem that requires help from others.
  9. Getting help: If you are physically ill, then you would consult your doctor. So it is with your mental health. Do not feel embarrassed or hesitant to seek solution to your mental health problems in the expert (counselor, clinical psychologist, psychiatrist).

The fact of life

Having a mental health problem is like with physical health problems. It is important to recognize the symptoms, find ways to overcome them, and take steps to protect themselves from recurring problems with your mental health care.

Ignoring mental health problems to himself or others, will not make it will pass by itself. In fact, slowly or quickly will make things worse, at least menurnkan quality of life.

Suffering from mental health disorders do not have to be afraid or ashamed. It was natural, just as you are suffering from physical pain. If you feel you have a problem, be open and talk with people you trust. It’s not a sign of personal weakness. When you see these symptoms in others, encourage the person to talk about it.

Discuss your problem in someone you trust: friends, family, or counselor, psychologist and psychiatrist.
